CISO Lifetime Membership Transferability Policy

Overview

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for the CISO Marketplace Lifetime Membership, addressing the unique challenges of CISO tenure and balancing the interests of individual professionals and their employing companies.

Membership Structure: Company-Based Model

Company-Based Membership

  • Membership is tied to the company and is transferable.
  • Covers core services and access to the CISO Marketplace platform.
  • Transferable to a new CISO within the same company.

Future Individual CISO Add-on (Coming Soon)

  • We are developing a personal, non-transferable addon for individual CISOs.
  • This feature will provide additional benefits specific to individual professional development.
  • Members will be notified when this option becomes available.

Verification Process

  • Initial setup fee covers a high-level executive OSINT assessment.
  • Verifies the applicant’s CISO status and their ability to assess a business.
  • Ensures the exclusivity and integrity of the membership community.

Membership Transfer and Renewal

Company Transfers

  • When a CISO leaves, the company retains the membership.
  • New CISO assuming the role must undergo verification (reduced setup fee applies).
  • Company is responsible for notifying CISO Marketplace of changes.

Fees and Pricing

  • One-time lifetime membership fee for company-based membership.
  • Reduced setup/verification fee for membership transfers.

  • Access to CISO Marketplace core platform and resources.
  • Ability to transfer membership to new CISO hires.
  • Discounts on additional services and products.

Termination and Refunds

  • Lifetime company membership is non-refundable but transferable within the company.
  • CISO Marketplace reserves the right to terminate memberships for violations of terms of service.
  • “Lifetime” is defined as the duration of the company’s existence or until the company chooses to terminate the membership.
  • Terms of service to be reviewed and accepted by the company.

Exit Strategy

In the event of significant changes to CISO Marketplace’s operations:

  1. Company Acquisition:
  • If CISO Marketplace is acquired, all existing lifetime memberships will be honored by the acquiring entity.
  • Members will be notified of any changes in ownership or management.
  • If the acquiring entity cannot maintain the exact terms of the lifetime membership, members will be offered comparable services or the option to receive a pro-rated refund.
  1. Cessation of Operations:
  • In the unlikely event that CISO Marketplace ceases operations, lifetime members will be notified as soon as possible.
  • CISO Marketplace will make every effort to provide a pro-rated refund based on the estimated value of unused services.
  • Where possible, we will attempt to transfer memberships to a comparable service provider to ensure continuity of benefits.
  1. Significant Service Changes:
  • If CISO Marketplace must make significant changes to its service offerings that materially affect the value of lifetime memberships, members will be given the option to:
    a) Accept the modified services
    b) Receive a pro-rated refund
    c) Transfer their membership to a comparable service (if available)

Regular Reviews and Adjustments

  1. Bi-Annual Corporate Reviews:
  • As part of the lifetime membership benefits, CISO Marketplace will conduct bi-annual reviews with corporate members.
  • These reviews will assess the effectiveness of the membership, discuss any new needs or challenges, and provide updates on new features or services.
  1. Policy Adjustments:
  • CISO Marketplace will review this policy annually, especially in the first three years of implementation.
  • Any proposed changes will be communicated to members at least 30 days before implementation.
  • Existing members will be grandfathered into their original terms unless the changes are universally beneficial.
  1. Feedback Integration:
  • Member feedback collected during bi-annual reviews will be used to inform policy adjustments and service improvements.
  • An annual survey will be conducted to gather comprehensive feedback from all members.

Policy Updates

CISO Marketplace reserves the right to update this policy. Members will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the membership constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
